"Every Climb has a story..."

Within the events of the 110 anniversary celebrations, AGBU Lebanon invites you to an exceptional meeting with the proud Lebanese-Armenian AGBU member, Everest climber Ara Khatchadourian!

Ara Khatchadourian, the Marseille based Armenian who ascended the world’s highest peak Everest in memory of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, will be our guest!

After screening a short film on this epic ascent, Khatchadourian will share his climbing experience and his astonishing life story.
Conquering the ambitious height of 8848m on May 23, 2016, Ara Khatchadourian raised the Armenian and the AGBU flags in recognition of the strong patriotic spirit, leadership and determination he developed while being a student at AGBU Demirdjian School and scouting at the AGBU-AYA Antranik scouts in Beirut.
