News: May #1 General Knowledge Contest


Այսօր տեղի ունեցաւ սպասուած «Զարգացման Մրցում»-ի երեկոն: Ջանիցն ալ մասնակցեցաւ (Ժանօ Պ., Կարօ Թ., Սամուէլ Տ., Յովիկ Տ., Արա Թ.) Տիկնանցի, Կիրակնօրեայի, Պատանեացի, Հոգաբարցութեան եւ Խնամակալութեան կողքին: Ջանիցի խումբը հայկական հարցումներուն տիրապետելէ ետք տեղի տուաւ Սբ. Գրային հարցումներուն, որուն բարձրագոյն նիշը հաաքեց Տիկնանցը, որ ի վերջոյ առաջնութեան տիրացաւ:
Today took place the awaited "General Knowledge" evening. The Chanitz team also participated (Jano B., Garo T., Samuel D., Hovig D., Ara T.) with the Sunday School, Youth Group, Hokapartzou, and Khnamagal teams. The Chanitz team was able to lead in the Armenian section, but lacked in the Biblical section, the highest score in which accumulated the Ladies Team, which came out as the winning team in the end.

Bible Study: Two kinds of Smart Living, James 3:13-4:12

Sometimes Christianity is portrayed as a matter of acting in self-interest. And the "health-and-wealth" gospel portrays this self-interest.
However, James' gospel involves humility before God. It means trusting him and putting others before ourselves.
If we come before God as God, rather than as simply a source of the pleasures we seek for ourselves, His holiness and purity will make us deeply aware of our sinfulness and selfishness.

Memory Verse: The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3.17

The best way to turn from self-oriented wordly wisdom toward the humility of heavenly wisdom is to serve others who cannot repay you. This week, do at least one act of kindness for someone outside your ordinary circle: visit an elderly shut-in, for example.

News: April #5 Farewell to Bedig


Մնաս բարով ըսինք Պետիկին, որ վաղը պիտի ձքէ Լիբանանը եւ հաստատուի Հայաստանի մէջ: Պետիկ բաժնեկցեցաւ իր մասին, որմէ ետք Շաքէ ջանիցին կողմէ նուիրեց գիրք մը, եւ ետքը ունեցանք հիւրասիրութիւն: Յաջողութիւն կը մաղթենք Պետիկին եւ կ՛աղօթենք որ Աստուած ցոյց տայ իրեն Ճամբան եւ առաջնորդէ զինք:

We said farewell to Bedig, who will leave Lebanon tomorrow and reside in Armenia. He shared about his experience, after which Shake gave him a book, and later we had reception. We wish all the success to Bedig and we pray that God would show him the way and lead him in His path.

Ուխտեալ ջանիցականները ունեցան միօրեայ համագումար մը Թէոբոլիսի մէջ: Տիկ. Վերա Սվաճեան վեր առաւ «Հաւատարիմ», «Գթացող» և «Տեսիլք ունեցող» ջանիցական ըլլալու նիւթերը: Ունեցանք պաշտամունքի պահ (առաջնորդեցին Մայք/Գօգօ, Արշօ/Սամուէլ), ընկերային/խաղերու պահ (Mafia խաղը մեծ հռչակ գտաւ), ինչպէս նաև 4 սերտողութեան խումբերուն մէջ վերի յիշուած նիւթերը սերտեցինք:
Committed chanitz members had their one-day retreat in Theopolis. Mrs. Vera Svajian talked about "Faithful", "Empathy", and "Visionary" subjects and how each member should attain these values. We had worship session (leaders-> Mike/Koko, Arsho/Samuel), social/games session (MAFIA game which became famous), as well as 4 discussion groups, in which we discussed about the mentioned subjects.

  1. Սկսանք սերտելու Յակոբու Գիրքը: Այսօր, չորս խումբերու բաժնուեցանք եւ սերտեցինք «Յարատեւութիւն» նիւթը: We started to study the book of James. Today, we divided in to 4 groups and discussed about "Perseverance".

  2. A Christian Concert is held in MEU on Friday, April 21, 2006. The money will be go to a charity. Arek and Vartan are taking part in the concert.

  3. ՀԱԵՄ կազմակերպած է «Սէրը Եղեռնի մէջ» խորագրով թատերգութիւն: Տեղի կունենայ Տէր Մելքոնեան թատերասրահին մէջ, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 Ապրիլ 2006: Ջանիցականներուն համար 5,000 լ.ո., տոմսերը գնել Սերոբէն:
