News: June #1 New Church Members

Հաղորդական անդամ ըլլալու դասընթացքը ամբողջացնելէ ետք, այսօր 5 ջանիցականներ հաղորդական անդամակցութեան ուխտը կատարեցին բոլոր եկեղեցիին առջեւ:
After completing the church membership class, today, 5 Chanitz members gave an oath in front of the whole church.


Հովիւին աղօթքէն եւ հաղորդութենէ ետք շնորհաւորութեամբ ընդունուեցան նոր անդամները:
After the pastor's prayer and the communion, the new members were welcomed with glee.
Ջանիցականներն են -> Լիզա Պ., Արշօ Գ., Ճիմի Գ., Սամուէլ Տ., եւ Յակոբ Կ.:
The Chanitz members are: Liza B., Arsho K., Jimmy K., Samuel D., and Hagop G.

While the timing of the World Cup Competition gets nearer, Chanitz prepares to organize social hours, to watch the games together in Chanitz Hall.

News: May #3 The Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction?


Today, we had a guest speaker, Ramzi(Razmig =) Faddoul, who lectured about the Da Vinci Code, and the lies/twists/ misinformations that it contains.


Members from the Marash Chanitz also joined and benefited from the lecturer's notes, that were well presented. In the end, we had discussion and questions about the book, the movie, and the author.

Back from the States

Ուրախ ենք որ Լիբանան վերադարձաւ Սեւակ Պ., եւ միացաւ իր ընտանիքին, ինչպէս նաեւ իր երկրորդ ընտանիքին՝ Էմմանուէլ Եկեղեցւոյ Ջանիցը:
We are happy that Sevag B. returned to Lebanon and joined his family, as well as his second family, the Armenian Evangelical Emmanuel Church Chanitz.

We remind that the following chanitzagans reside outside of Lebanon Vahak K. (Canada), Loucine A. (USA), Maral G. (Sweden), Sevag B. (USA), Jay S. (Northern Ireland), Sevag Ch. (USA), Serouj Ch. (USA), Garo A. (Armenia) and Cynthia/Baghdig (USA). As well as Bedig T., who repatriated to Armenia.

Attention: New Feature...

Ok, we've been hearing alot for the past 3 weeks about the vast number of posts and comments issue, and that it is not possible to remember where new comments are being added. Hence, and in trying to find a good solution, we worked to find and added a feature which tells the user if new comments were added since his/her last access of the Emmanuel Chanitz blog. (Mind you, this was not a very easy feature to add).

Of course, the first time you load the page, all comments on the page will be new. Once you expand each of the comments sections, and reload/refresh the page, it will no longer tell you there are new comments (unless there actually are new comments).

The reading of the comments changed a bit. Therefore, if you click on "Comments", the list of comments will show on the same page. At the end of it, you will find "Post a Comment", which when clicked will pop-up the Comments Page to write your comment in.

Of course, this is a trial period of this new feature, and we need your feedback, to let us know of difficulties you are facing with this new feature.
(Notice: In order to benefit from this new feature, each person should use the same computer, specially if he/she checks the blog from an Internet Cafe)

Moreover, this feature uses Cookies. Anyone who has problems with this new feature should check their Setting of Cookies, which can be changed by clicking "Tools", then "Internet Options", then "Privacy". Set the Cookies Setting to "Medium".

News: May #2 Nor Yerk Live!


Այս գիշեր ելոյթ եկաւ «Նոր Երգ»-ը իր նոր կազմով Տէր Մելքոնեանի դատերասրահին մէջ (Արեգ Գ. եւ Մանօ Մ. Էմմանուէլի ջանիցէն): Ներկայացուցին ազգային, հայրենասիրական եւ հոգեւոր երգեր տարբեր մշակումներով, ինչպես նաեւ ցուցադրուեցաւ «Նոր Երգ»-ի պատմութիւնը եւ «Հայ Ընտանիքը»: Էմմանուէլ եկեղեցիի ջանիցականները մեծ խումբով ներկայ գտնուեցան եւ վայելեցին այս հայկական երաժշտական երեկոն:
This night, the "Nor Yerk" band performed in Der Merlkonian Theatre with their new members( Arek K. and Mano M. from the Emmanuel Church Chanitz). They presented patriotic, and spiritual songs with different arrangements, also the history of "Nor Yerk" and the "Armenian Family" were presented. The Emmanuel Church Chanitz members were present in big numbers and they enjoyed this Armenian Musical Night.
