Mrouj Worship Services - Summer 2012

During the Summer of 2012, the Armenian Evangelical Church organized worship services in the Mrouj area, where many Armenian families spend their Summer, escaping the heat and humidity of Beirut.

The worship services took place from 8 July to 23 September, on Sundays, at 10:30am, in the Arab Evangelical Church of Mrouj.

The following pastors and laymen from the Armenian Evangelical Churches preached: Rev. M. Karagoezian, Rev. S. Kilaghbian, Ms. Sh. Geocherian, Ms. V. Balekjian, Mrs. V. Svajian, Mr. H. Akbasharian, Mr. A. Messerlian, and Rev. H. Svajian.

Mr. S. Svajian, Ms. A. Baboghlanian and the Chanitz of the Armenian Evangelical Church of Marash led the worship.

The pastor, Rev. H. Svajian served the communion on Sunday, 16 September.

The Chanitz Youth of the Emmanuel Church, Participating in the Worship Service in Mrouj


On Sunday, September 18 - the tenth worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. The Chanitz youth of the Emmanuel Church participated in the service. Mr. Serop Ohanian, chairman of the Emmanuel Chanitz, gave the sermon. Ms. Ani Baboghlanian, a member of Elders' Committee of the Emmanuel Church, led the worship. After the service, the church had fellowship and reception.
The youth then went to have lunch in a nearby restaurant.








Rev. Hrayr Cholakian Preaching in the Mrouj Church

On Sunday, September 25 - the last worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. Rev. Hrayr Cholakian, pastor of the First Armenian Evangelical Church, gave the sermon. Mr. Samuel Svajian, a member of Elders' Committee of the Emmanuel Church, led the worship. After the service, the church had fellowship and reception.





The Chanitz Youth of the Marash Church, Leading the Worship Service in Mrouj

On Sunday, September 11 - the nineth worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. The Chanitz youth of the Marash Church participated and led the service. Mr. Anto Messerlian, chairman of the Trustees' Committee, gave the sermon. Mr. Ara Khederian, recording secretary of the Trustees' Committee, led the worship. Ms. Aline Khederian, chairman of the Chanitz youth, read the passage from the Bible.
After the service, the Chanitz youth had fellowship.



























Communion in the Mrouj Church

On Sunday, August 28 - the nineth worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. Rev. Hovhannes Svajian, pastor of the Armenian Evangelical Emmanuel Church, gave the sermon. Mr. Samuel Svajian, a member of Elders' Committee of the Emmanuel Church, led the worship. During the service, communion was held. After the service, the church had fellowship and reception.







Mrs. Maral Deyirmenjian Preaching in the Mrouj Church

On Sunday, August 21 - the eighth worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. Mrs. Maral Deyirmenjian, principal of the Armenian Evangelical Central High School, gave the sermon. Ms. Ani Baboghlanian, a member of Elders' Committee of the Emmanuel Church, led the worship. After the service, the church had fellowship and reception.











Rev. Soghomon Kilaghbian Preaching in the Mrouj Church

On Sunday, August 14 - the seventh worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. Rev. Soghomon Kilaghbian , pastor of the Armenian Evangelical Church in Ashrafieh, gave the sermon. Mr. Samuel Svajian, a member of Elders' Committee of the Emmanuel Church, led the worship. After the service, the church had fellowship and reception.

On Sunday, August 7 - the fourth worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. Rev. Megerdich Karagoezian, president of UAECNE, gave the sermon. Ms. Ani Baboghlanian, a member of Elders' Committee of the Emmanuel Church, led the worship. After the service, the church had fellowship and reception.







Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian Preaching in the Mrouj Church

On Sunday, July 31 - the fifth worship service, for the summer of year 2011, was held in Mrouj Church. Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, president of Haigazian University, gave the sermon. Mr. Samuel Svajian, a member of Elders' Committee of the Emmanuel Church, led the worship. After the service, the church had fellowship and reception.
